Moroccan Mince

Serves 4


  • 600g lean mince
  • large onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp grated root ginger (from a jar is fine)
  • 1 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp Moroccan spice
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbs fresh mint chopped
  • 400g can crushed tomatoes
  • salt & ground pepper
  • Low fat plain yoghurt to serve (optional)


Heat a non stick pan, spray with cooking spray and gently saute mince and onion until browned.   Add ginger, curry powder and Moroccan spice and cook a few more minutes.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes.

Serve with a blob of plain yoghurt and lots of fibrous vegetables
