Low Carb Protein Balls


Makes approximately 20


  • 1/3 cup protein powder (I used Balance plant protein, vanilla)
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chopped (I used Cadbury’s Old Gold)
  • 1/3 cup nut butter (I used Pic’s peanut butter)
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract


The ingredients are a bit flexible, i.e. I guessed at the chocolate and nut butter measurements and had to add a bit more peanut butter and coconut oil to get the right texture for rolling. You can play around with the ingredients to get the taste and texture you prefer.

Chop the chocolate in a food processor then add the rest and mix well. Roll into balls, pop onto baking paper and refrigerate to set. Keep in the fridge.
