Low Carb Porridge


Serves 2, or 1 large serving


  • ¼ cup ground linseed

  • ¼ cup almond meal

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 Tbs sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon, or to taste

  • ½ cup water, plus additional if needed when cooking

  • ¼ cup each cream and full fat milk (or use ½ cup of one or the other, or coconut cream)

  • ¼ cup frozen berries


Put everything, apart from the berries, into a small pot and heat to a simmer. Cook for about 7 minutes, stirring regularly. If it is too thick, add more water. Stir in the berries and heat through.

Serve with additional cream or unsweetened yoghurt and a few more berries.
