Kebab-skewers
 

Ingredients

  • Lean lamb/beef/chicken/pork cut into bite sized pieces. Allow per woman 150g raw protein and per man 200g raw protein.
  • Vegetables of choice cut into chunks, e.g. mushrooms, zucchini, cherry tomatoes (cut in half), capsicum, etc.
  • Spray oil
  • Skewers

Method

If using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes before use to prevent burning.  I prefer metal skewers which can be used over and over.

Thread alternate pieces of meat and vegetables on skewers, spray with cooking spray and BBQ or put under grill, turning regularly.  Serve on a bed of baby spinach or with a side salad.

If desired you can toss the meat in seasoning of your choice before threading onto skewers.

Kebabs can make a small amount of meat go a long way. In the photo I had used 350g of lean lamb pieces and it made 8 skewers.
