Low Carb Burger Patties with Creamy Tomato Sauce


Makes 6 Patties


  • 600g minced lamb or beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 rounded tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary if using lamb mince OR 1 tsp dried mixed herbs if using beef mince
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Black pepper


Mix the burger ingredients together to form 6 patties.

Fry in a mixture of 1 Tbs olive oil and 2 Tbs butter for about 10 minutes or until just cooked through.

Remove from the pan and keep warm.


  • 200 mls cream
  • 2 Tbs tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Add the cream and tomato paste the hot pan and heat until the mixture boils and thickens a little.  Season, then pour over patties.

Serve with veggies such as cauli mash and Brussel sprout and leek gratin.
